The Codice fiscale is a social security number needed to open a bank account, register immovable property, stipulate contracts (rental, accommodation, telephone) process salary/scholarship payment, enroll in the National Health Service. Citizens can use daily services that require a mandatory indication of the tax code.
In order to obtain the tax code international guests have to submit a copy of their ID or passport to FBK Welcome office.
